Partnerships for studios, shops and practitioners

Partner with Kokū

Kokū Meditations is a deck of 54 cards that help you question old beliefs and practice responding differently, each paired with an original Zen artwork painted by hand.

For people who already have a practice

Kokū was created for yoga teachers, sound bath and meditation practitioners to bring into their sessions, and for the people in their classes who already know their patterns and still catch themselves turning good things away. Each card is a short guided meditation, with a reflection that questions an old belief, a visualization where you rehearse meeting the moment differently, and a mantra to repeat until it becomes a habit.

This is our Founding Edition. We are partnering with a small number of studios and shops who share our ethos to become our founding partners.

How it's used

A practice that meets you where you are

In a class or sound bathA practitioner can use a card to open or close a yoga class or sound bath.
For the participants themselvesThey can draw a card at random, choose one that speaks to something already present in their life, or stay with the same meditation for longer.
Beyond the sessionThe practice stays the same. Notice the old belief, spend time with another perspective, and take it beyond the card.

The object

What arrives in the box

Fifty-four meditation cards and a 120-page Pocket Book with every guided meditation, in a book style rigid box with a magnetic closure. Each meditation pairs an original Zen artwork, painted by hand, with a reflection, a guided visualization and a mantra.

Every artwork has been hand-painted in sumi, the traditional Japanese ink used for calligraphy and brush painting for thousands of years. On washi paper, the ink seeps into the fibers and blurs at the edges. Each card was painted by hand using this method, one card at a time.

Why Kokū

Most of us see the world through a lens we never intentionally chose

Many of us picked up beliefs about what we're allowed to have, and without noticing, we turn down whatever doesn't fit them. Understanding where those beliefs come from rarely stops them in the moment they show up.

Kokū began as our founder's own practice, simple notes to self she returned to whenever an old belief showed up, until interrupting it became a habit. Every time you interrupt the pattern of thinking, you weaken the limiting belief.

Change how you view the world, and the world changes.

How it works

From a short note to your shelf

1

Write to us

A few lines about your studio or shop and how you would use the deck.

2

We send our partner terms

We reply personally with the terms for your country and arrange a short call if you would like one.

3

Into the room

Your decks arrive sealed, ready for class or the shelf.

What is the minimum order?

Orders for studios and shops start from a few decks. The exact tiers for your country are in our partner terms.

How does it work in a class?

A practitioner can use it to open or close a yoga class or sound bath, or the participants can use it themselves.

We already sell other decks. Why this one?

Each Kokū card is a short guided meditation built around one belief many of us picked up without ever choosing it. It comes with a reflection, a visualization and a mantra, so people can practice responding differently in their own lives. Every card is also an original Zen artwork painted by hand in sumi ink, and we’re placing this Founding Edition with a small number of partners.

Can we order for a retreat, a training or an event?

Yes. Tell us the number of guests and the date when you write, and we will put together a proposal.

How do I see your partner terms?

Write to us at hello@kokustudio.co with a few lines about your community. We send our partner terms and a short introduction to the deck.
